Are you thinking of considering a deck for your garden?
A well installed deck that has been carefully designed, looks great in any garden, we will be happy to discuss many options with you to ensure that you are getting exactly the deck that works for you and your family, features like a planter box either raised or sunken into your deck for planting trees or small bedding plants can look great. lighting, especially recessed and spotlighting will also enhance the look of your decking especially in the evening time!

If you already have a Deck but it is looking tired and weather beaten, we
can bring it back to life!!
We will take time to examine all the wood carefully to see if any boards are rotten. Unfortunately, most wood rot occurs in places that are hard to see under the decking boards, at the ledger (the board that is attached to the house), on the underside of stairs, and so on
We will then power wash the deck and remove any staining before replacing any boards that are damaged, sealing it if necessary and refinishing it appropriately!
Maintaining your Deck
Because Garden Decking is exposed to all the elements of nature, sun, rain, snow/ice, in addition to the wear and tear of foot traffic etc, it will need to be protected as much as possible to keep it looking great!
Wood that is left unprotected will soak up moisture, leading to serious damage. Moisture encourages surface mildew and causes stains, particularly in damp or humid climates where surfaces are never allowed to dry completely!
Decking is built with durable wood that is often pressure-treated; therefore most surface problems are cosmetic. However if the wood is untreated there is a greater risk of rot, particularly if it is a light coloured sapwood!
Any deck will need a good cleaning at least once a year preferably with a power washer. This will prevent the build-up of algae which will make the deck slippery. It also removes debris from between the boards which will promote rotting of the wood. If the decking timber has been stained, it will need to be re-stained every 2 or 3 years.
